Yana graduated with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Southern Cross University and has received extensive postgraduate training in Australia and overseas, specialising in paediatric, cranial, biodynamic, and visceral osteopathy. Before pursuing osteopathy, Yana was a practising psychologist and counsellor mainly working with children and teenagers.
She has also done extensive training in retained primitive reflexes, doing courses with Masgutova, Darren Heath-Barnes and Empire Method, and also reading numerous authors on the topic. She is well trained in sensory integration and works with vestibular and proprioception development both with exercises and vibration therapy.
Yana loves helping people from all walks of life, and as a mom of three, she has a special interest in treating infants and children. Due to her background, Yana enjoys assisting children and babies who had difficult labour or birth, as well as older children and teenagers with aches and pains, and those patients suffering from stress and associated conditions. She has done extra training in retained reflexes and often teaches patients specific exercises for their integration. She is also passionate about helping mums and bubs on their breastfeeding journey to make it as easy and comfortable as possible.
She is also a long-time yoga and pilates teacher and enjoys practising Capoeira, her favourite martial art, in her free time.
