Visit us to see our flowering Petrea Vine

Our Petrea Vine - or Queens/Purple Wreath is in full bloom.
It is often mistaken for wisteria because of the purple colour. Flowers in February, March, September, October, November, December.

This species originally from Central and South America forms a robust scrambling vine with conspicuous lenticels on the stem. The leaves are simple, opposite and rough to the touch like sandpaper, hence another common name is sandpaper vine.
