B.App.Sc.(Osteopathy), Member of AOA.

I have been an osteopath for over 25 years, treating patients of all ages and conditions.

I graduated from RMIT in 1995 and spent a year in Auckland, New Zealand. After being diagnosed with arthritis in 1989, I tried a variety of treatment methods: massage, physiotherapy, chiropractic and acupuncture. All with limited success. I then saw John George, a reputed cranial osteopath. After only a few treatments I had remarkable results.  It was at that moment I was compelled to study osteopathy. This led me to enrol in RMIT’s five-year degree, graduating in 1995.

I mainly treat:

Concussion Symptoms, Chronic and Acute Conditions – I completed  the Complete Concussion Management (CCMI) course as part of my ongoing professional development. This course covers treatment and management of acute and chronic concussion symptoms. Baseline testing is avaible at the centre. Group discounts are available for clubs, school amd teams.

A concussion can impact more than your head. Symptoms can include typical things like nausea and headaches, as well as symptoms like sleep disturbances, anxiety, memory issues, pain or tingling and balance issues.

Complex and Challenging Back and Neck Pain, Mirgraine and Tension Headaches – With over 25 years of practising Osteopathy my experience allows me to treat patients with complex and challenging musculoskeletal issues. Due to my own experiences, I bring a multi-faceted aproach and a deep understanding of the challenge of living with chronic pain.

Babies and Children – I enjoy treating babies and children – my wife and I have three of our own. I have been treating babies for over 20 years and have the necessary experience and competence. I treat any musculoskeletal issue that can cause excessive crying, feeding problems and unsettled behaviour.

Autoimmune Disorders/Post Surgical Care – Due to my autoimmune disease, I also have a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal strains associated with autoimmune disorders, as well as Chronic Fatigue syndrome and post-surgical care.

Osteopathic Treatment during Orthodontic or Dental Work – Orthodontic work is the use of dental appliances or braces that apply small amounts of force over a long period of time to the bones of the jaw and the posititioning of teeth. I find my patients often notice a reduction in pain and discomfort and increased freedom of movement after getting osteopathic treatment. View my Video on Osteopathy for Orthodontic Care.

The Gut – You can have the healthiest diet in the world, but if your body is not functioning at its optimal level, you may have musculoskeltal strains effecting your digestive system. As part of my ongoing CPD, I recently completed a course where I learnt about the Microbiome-Gut-Brain axis (MGBA) and the effect on human behavior and the immune system.
